Service Desk developer vacancy — SQL

At Socho IT, we prefer to speak of the Solution Desk: in addition to excellent service, customers also receive an excellent solution. This is how we help our customers quickly and that is appreciated! Socho IT develops and implements Zeno, the platform for publishers. Dozens of publishers make use of this and you can help them with that.

As a Solutiondesk developer, you are the point of contact for our customers and you enjoy diving into the technology to analyze and solve reported problems yourself. You speak to many different people and learn every day, and you can rely on highly experienced colleagues who are good at helping you solve problems. Just puzzling to find a solution, implementing this solution and providing feedback to the customer, that makes you happy.

In the meantime, you will learn all the ins and outs of our system, which is used by numerous publishers. Every day, hundreds of thousands of people get their newspaper, trade magazine or online access to knowledge bases because you help our customers do this. A great responsibility that we bear together. Together, we ensure that everything continues to function properly.

Your work
After a thorough familiarization period, you will be the first to pick up the incoming notifications. You work closely with your colleagues internally on solutions. You coordinate the solution with the customer, provide advice and make changes if necessary. You are the fixed point of contact for our customers and you guarantee their satisfaction. Eventually, you will be able to solve more and more notifications independently and grow more and more towards becoming a developer.

Job requirements
Helping people and solving complex puzzles makes you happy. Your spoken and written Dutch is excellent and you can explain things clearly. You are analytically strong, you work in a structured way and you are punctual. Knowledge of SQL is really a plus. Knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle, Apex and (financial) administration is a bonus, but we can also teach you. Interest in everything related to computers and automation should not be missed.

And what do we offer you?
You will be working at a compact organization with 10 colleagues, so your input really makes a difference. Partly working from home is certainly possible in the long run; initially, working from our office in Huizen (NH) is easier. We can teach you a lot and if you would like to combine this role with a role as consultant or developer in the long run, that is possible.

Of course, you will receive an excellent salary, which depends on the experience you bring, a laptop, a phone and a non-contributory pension. You will have a central position in a professional and close-knit team at a no-nonsense club, where you won't want to leave!
