Publication Management
Managing publications involves a complex process throughout the lifecycle of a title. Publishers must track specifications, release schedules, costs, contributors, and distribution details while ensuring this information remains consistent across internal teams and external partners. When this information is spread across spreadsheets or disconnected systems, planning becomes difficult, data quality decreases, and collaboration between editorial, production, and commercial teams slows down.
Centralized Publication Administration
The Zeno Publication Management module brings together technical book data, production planning, and publication workflows into one integrated system. By connecting publication data with finance, inventory, and sales processes, Zeno creates a single source of truth for title administration. This improves planning accuracy, reduces manual work, and ensures consistent data across the publishing ecosystem.

Planning and production management
Zeno supports production planning using configurable templates, allowing publishers to structure the development of titles from concept to release. Planning can be recalculated when release dates or production parameters change. The system also supports pre- and post-calculations, break-even analysis, and cost tracking. When production costs are registered in the financial module, they can automatically be included in financial overviews and performance calculations. Tasks and timelines can be linked to specific titles or editions, giving teams a clear overview of what needs to happen and when.
Title and Metadata Management
Zeno allows publishers to centrally manage titles, series, editions, and formats such as print, digital, and hybrid publications. Metadata such as ISBN, subtitle, contributors, classifications, and internal codes can be stored in one place, ensuring consistency across the organization. This data can be shared with external parties such as CB, through direct API, Excel or ONIX.

Reporting
Zeno provides reporting tools such as title lists, technical specification overviews, planning reports, and financial performance analysis. Publishers can monitor production progress, analyze title profitability, and export detailed planning overviews for further analysis. These insights help publishers maintain control over their publication portfolio and make informed decisions throughout the publishing process.
