In addition, it is difficult to provide insight into how royalties are created, both internally and towards authors and other stakeholders. The Zeno Royalty module brings contracts, sales data and calculations together in one system, so that royalty administration becomes transparent and manageable.
Royalty agreements and contract management
Zeno supports establishing royalty agreements for authors, editors, illustrators, translators, and other rights holders. Contracts can include various models, such as percentage based royalties, fixed fees, instalments, or advances. Appointments can be arranged by publication, product type or sales channel.
Automated royalty calculations
Zeno links royalty agreements directly to sales data from publications, subscriptions, and orders. Based on the established contract terms, royalties are calculated automatically. Various calculation methods are supported, such as calculations based on gross or net sales or specific sales conditions. This reduces manual calculations and ensures consistent results.
Reporting and preparing payments
Zeno generates royalty statements and specifications that provide insight into sales and calculations. These can be shared with authors and other stakeholders. In addition, the system supports the preparation of payments by generating payment files or exporting financial data for processing in the financial administration.
