My internship at Socho

Let me introduce myself first. I am Elyn Malaihollo, 20 years old! I am currently in the fourth and final year of my Commercial Economics course at the Saxion in Deventer. During the course, I enjoyed gaining a lot of knowledge about sales, online marketing and market trends. Over the past six months, I was able to use this knowledge to help Socho a little further.

My internship started in September 2022, which feels like a long time ago! After meeting my counselor, Dita Bik-Klumpenaar, it was soon time for my introduction to the office. A friendly team where I quickly felt welcome. On the Socho days, I was included in all the current activities and was even able to present my results, which were often enthusiastically responded to.
My activities
Over the past six months, I have been involved in various activities. My goal was to offer Socho real added value. With my knowledge and expertise, I have investigated the online findability of the Socho website. Using Search Engine Optimization and Advertising (SEO and SEA), I took actions to make the Socho website more visible to the customer. I also did market research. I have identified the current market in which Socho is active, along with the potential desired market.

As a result, I delivered a complete implementation plan to Socho and, with a passing grade, I am a little closer to graduating. I look back on a very educational year where I gained a lot of new knowledge! I also really felt like part of the team at Socho. I want to thank everyone at Socho for their guidance and a warm welcome! Now I'm one step closer to graduation.
