Socho IT - a look back at 2022

Finally, another normal year... aside from the state of the world, then. For Socho, 2020 and 2021 were marked by Zeno N, the biggest conversion in Zeno's history. Now that it has been completed and the Corona measures have been scaled back, we can go back to doing projects with and with our customers. And although quite a bit of “online convenience” has lingered, it is certainly nice to visit customers regularly.

We welcomed a number of new users this year. School support, Virtumedia, Alea publishers and WPG Media.All projects that we are proud of and that further strengthen our position in the publishing sector.

We are also working on great projects with existing users. For example, after the takeover by Eisma Media Group, the implementation of the publication/book module started at Jongbloed Publishers. We have also been working on the realization of new interfaces and carrying out data conversions for many users. And we were able to meet a lot of existing customers at our online training courses and webinars.

Internally, we spent the past year investigating the subscription models for the next five years. We spoke to publishers and were able to get a clear picture of future subscription models. This forms the basis for a new generation of future-proof subscription functionality that we will gradually add to our portfolio in the coming years. So you're ready for the future!

In terms of software development, last year we focused on the new online plugin, which we hope to present in the second quarter of 2023. This plugin replaces the current plugin and forms the solid basis for further plugin developments.
